I’m a freelance UX copywriter who loves to create accessible, customer-focused copy.
I've written for some of Australasia’s most beloved brands, largest corporate businesses, and the best up-and-coming SMEs and startups. That includes Air New Zealand, Fisher & Paykel, Zespri, Fidelity Life, Virgin Money Australia, Westpac and more.
I often work on large-scale digital projects such as enterprise-level websites, creating digital tools or helping people to communicate more clearly with practical writing guides. I love traditional mediums like brochures and letters too – whatever involves the skill of centring the user need, and guiding them to action.
I have a background in creative advertising and I’m a published author and editor, which gives me a great blend of creativity and logic, and the ability to dive into the details while seeing the bigger picture.

Westpac NZ & AU
My relationship with Westpac spans over ten years, and has included everything from a full website rewrite to restructuring their home loans section, writing numerous brochures and helping to launch their content hub. We even snagged a People's Choice at the Writemark Plain English Awards for our work together.
Zespri
Running a team of writers from my partners Big on Writing, we powered through creating page-level briefs, researching and writing 250 web pages using a selection of page design components – in five months. Part of this job was teaching and editing the work of Zepri’s internal writers as well.
Virgin Money AU
The team at Virgin needed some quick wins, and with my colleague from Big On Writing working on IA improvements, I tackled the rewrite of their key web pages. Using heat maps, stakeholder interviews and SEO reports, I optimised their copy, refreshed their tone of voice and simplified the way they talk about their products.
Fisher & Paykel Appliances
A four-month contract to help with the relaunch of their five global websites has turned into a six-year relationship, with frequent contracts to work across their F&P, Haier and DCS brands. My work has included developing naming conventions for their product copy, writing all aspects of their website from brand to product copy, as well as eDMs, social, brand and marketing.
AlphaImpactRX
This challenging project required me to get my head around a number of complicated RX research products offered by this US-based company, and translate them for an audience of health practitioners. Work included research and interviews, infographic design, tone of voice and web copy.
NZDF
The New Zealand Defence Force encompasses a number of armed services, but they way they speak to all of them on their intranet needs to be consistent. Together with a UX designer at Ghost Partners, we developed a practical writing playbook to teach staff how to write more clearly and accessibly over eight key content types typical to the intranet.
